What Is OHSLA and Why It’s Linked Here
The Oregon High School Lacrosse Association (OHSLA) is the organization that runs and oversees high school boys lacrosse across Oregon. Since lacrosse is a club sport at most schools (including Sheldon High School), OHSLA provides the structure we need to have an actual season.
Key Points for Players & Parents
They run the league.
OHSLA organizes schedules, games, officials, standings, and playoffs for all high school boys’ teams in Oregon. They create the rules.
They set the standards for safety, coaching requirements, conduct, and how teams must operate. They make the sport possible statewide.
Because lacrosse isn’t OSAA-sanctioned, OHSLA fills that role so teams can compete in an official, organized, fair league. They support teams like ours.
OHSLA helps teams form, combine players from multiple schools when needed, and ensures every athlete has a place to play. They are a nonprofit.
The organization is run by volunteers and exists to grow high school lacrosse in Oregon.
Why We Link to OHSLA
We link to OHSLA so our players and families can easily find official league info: game schedules, rules, standings, playoff details, and resources for new athletes. It’s the governing group that makes Sheldon Lacrosse’s season possible.
